OBDII error code P068E indicates a problem with the glow plug control circuit for cylinder 8. In diesel engines, glow plugs are used to assist in the combustion process during cold starts. The glow plug control module supplies power to the glow plugs, and the engine control module (ECM) monitors the voltage in the circuit. If the ECM detects a low voltage in the cylinder 8 glow plug control circuit, it will set code P068E.

This error code is specific to diesel engines and is not applicable to gasoline engines. The error code may be accompanied by other symptoms such as difficulty starting the engine, rough idling, or decreased engine performance.
